Katia • My husband worked at the lumber mill near town when he first came back from Donetsk. At the time, a lot of scrap wood was left out for people to take or just left lying around. Not anymore. All of it - even the sawdust - is turned into wood pellets and sold to locals. They say it is more efficient to burn than straight wood, as the material is so densely packed. But of course, it costs more as well.
