Wood and batteries are the two main sources of energy in the rural home of Aurel Solomon (30), which is not connected to any infrastructure in Romania. With these costly energy sources, Aurel powers an electrical lamp and a radio. He previously had some electricity from a solar panel installed by an NGO three years ago, but its battery now needs maintenance.
