Warm enough

Living in fuel poverty - soup and socks on radiator.

If I'm going to turn the heat on, I might as well make the most of it. Meal times, laundry and drying clothes: it all happens at once. They say a bowl of hot soup warms the soul. I can't remember when I last had soup that was hot, rather than just barely warm.

If I keep the heat on for an hour or so, the flat stay reasonably warm for 2-3 hours afterwards. Then I put on an extra sweater again. Or just go to bed early with a book. But it takes a long time for the clothes to dry, and it feels very damp and uncomfortable.
